Farmers of Jodhpur region asked the then Maharaja Umaid Singh Ji to provide employment so as to survive the hard conditions due to famine.
Maharaja decided to get a luxurious Palace built so it could help the farmers get employment.
That's how the Umaid Bhawan Palace was built!

That time it helped the farmers and over the years it has helped many more get jobs. When seen from a smaller perspective, some may think that how can a king think of building a luxurious Palace for himself when the people are dying of famine. Probably, he could have just....

..distributed the money instead & helped people. That help would have been temporary & also made those people dependent. Instead, he focused on empowering them. Getting them an opportunity to earn and live a life of dignity.
Even the farmers asked for employment & not money!

Even now, people with a limited understanding are complaining about Central Vista Project without understanding the benefits of creating a flow of money in the economy especially in the current times. We still don't know how lon this situation will go, how many more lockdowns..

..plus the additional benefit of having all offices together, reducing travel, hopefully can lead to better flow & coordination among different departments and the key aspect of saving the 1000k crores rent being currently paid!! 20000k crores is nothing for all these benefits!

More so, this is nowhere hampering the focus that the health care currently needs. We have been constantly getting better with the requirements. A very difficult time comes but we get over it. Not once has the Govt complained about lack of funds (barring a few state Govts).

This is the Govt which been saying that there is no lack of funds and we can see it also. They have been constantly working in all aspects of developments and making life better. Surely, lot more to do & that's why I hope they continue to be in power for the betterment of India.
