"Jeremy Corbyn’s politics are fantasy – just like Alice in Wonderland" wrote Tony Blair, much-beloved war criminal

But is it really the Labour left who live in a world of fantasy?

The response to disastrous results under Keir Starmer suggest otherwise...

According to BBC “political analyst” Iain Watson Sir Keir will use the results to move away from 2019 manifesto and "from some of the policy pledges he made in last year's leadership contest - which had been designed to appeal to the party's left.”

Owen Jones was one of many leftists to point out how deranged an analyst would have to be to pin the blame on Corbyn

Fully-signed up, card-carrying centrists of the MSM (who’ve built careers upon blaming the left for literally everything) wanted to go even further and “purge” the very foundations of Corbynism

There’s so much evidence against this we hardly know where to start

How about with the losing Hartlepool candidate, who confirmed that Corbyn WAS NOT an issue on the doorstep?

Or what about polling which suggested that department store mannequin Keir Starmer and his policy of “supporting the government” while the “bodies piled up” hadn’t exactly enthused voters

Somehow corporate media analysts failed to notice that: https://twitter.com/graceblakeley/status/1390938068346183680
As MP Kim Johnson pointed out https://twitter.com/KimJohnsonMP/status/1391056235051499520
But no. Whispers from Starmer, amplified by MSM “analysts”, indicate that the party will move FURTHER to the right

And they have the support of those analysts

Nothing to see in the next tweet...

....just “impartial” BBC journalists applauding the suspension of Jeremy Corbyn (for making a statement specifically protected by the EHRC report) as a positive step

Conquering a foothill! 🤣

/12
Still, nice of BBC journalists to report this WITHOUT questioning whether Starmer is a total snake for promising left-wing policies (to win an internal election) when he clearly had no intention of delivering

MSM take it for granted that the left should be scorned + scorned

/14
The MSM (again following the anti-left narrative that must be a mandatory module on all journalism courses) take it for granted that Starmer “conquered foothills” by suspending Corbyn from the party

These graphs suggest otherwise...

/16
Note the collapse in support accelerating in October - the month Corbyn was suspended

This is completely logical. There's a reason Starmer took charge promising “unity”

Do the electorate want to see in-fighting?
There were many other detrimental results to attacking the left (who, let's not forget, Starmer made promises to while trying to get elected)
Corbyn brought record numbers of new members to Labour, many passionate young activists

Starmer has alienated or directly suspended many of them

While offering the public nothing
So what are we to make of the alternative reality in which Starmerites and MSM journalists live?

Election results clearly show socialist Labour gaining and wishy-washy Starmerite Labour losing.

Team Starmer’s reality-bending conclusion: Move further to the right!
What are we to make of the fact that Starmer has no discernible policies...other than a desire to ferociously attack the left-wing of his own party?

(Taken as read by the media to be a sound policy) https://twitter.com/billybragg/status/1390602048606019585
The conclusion is obvious - if depressing

Starmer, like Blair before him, has banked everything on winning the support of Murdoch's gutter press

In order to do so he must crush the forever enemy of the corporate press - even the mildest socialist threat - and serve up...
...the same gruel of cruel Tory economics with a thin film of disingenuous platitudes over the top

The "labour" has gone from the Labour Party once again

Starmer has bet it all on winning the support of a few cranky xenophobic billionaires
Starmer and the lobby journalists who fete him live in the parallel world of the corporate media, where no matter the facts you can ONLY MOVE RIGHT

It's deranged, ludicrous, a nightmare rather than a wonderland

But the vision we're told to support or we're "Tory enablers"
