What we are expected to witness tomorrow in occupied Jerusalem?
2
First, the Occupation’s Supreme Court is expected to hold a hearing related to Sheikh Jarrah case. Several Israeli media outlets stated that the court is likely to postpone the hearing due to massive protests in Jerusalem & to the widespread international solidarity.
3
In this case, it is highly important to remember few things:We have no faith in the Israeli judicial system, it will never bring any justice to Palestinians, the only way to help the families is by showing presence on the ground and keeping the international solidarity campaign
4
The Zionist policy of divide and conquer is manifested again in Al-Sheikh Jarrah case; for the 28 families there are 3 different court cases that have been running separately. This aims to prevent Palestinian collective action & exhaust us by dragging these cases for decades.
5
Second, Tomorrow marks the Zionist “Jerusalem Day”. Thousands of settlers are expected to march towards the Old City of Jerusalem. Palestinians will be prevented from entering the Old City and many streets will be closed in order for the settlers to march freely.
6
It is needless to say that settlers will be guarded by the occupation forces, who are expected to aggressively suppress any Palestinian protest.
