First off, saying i hate men is really not much different from the & #39;get back in the kitchen& #39; jokes. It doesn& #39;t matter that women were once disregarded, & #39;i hate men& #39; being a widespread joke is still sexist. Yes, women went through hell to get rights and/
/still are having to surpass gender stereotypes, but just because men once ridiculed us, doesn& #39;t mean we do it to them? two wrongs don& #39;t make a right. you do realise that like half the world& #39;s population are men and that every person is different?
Second, yes i fully understand all the hardship the lgbtqia+ community has gone through to earn their well-deserved and over-due rights, but again two wrongs don& #39;t make a right? Just because us cishet& #39;s are & #39;basic& #39;, not all of us are bad?
This is not a tweet made by an ignorant cishet, because honestly again, not everyone is the same. Yeah a lot of cishet& #39;s are dumb idiots, but ever think about the ones who are just as supportive of the lgbt+ community as you?
I respect all you lgbt+ community and im proud to be an ally, but it does hurt scrolling through my tl and seeing many tweets like & #39;urgh cishets& #39;, & #39;all my friends are cishets and it sucks& #39;. we aren& #39;t all bad, stop acting like we& #39;re stuck-up brats who/
/only care about ourselves. i love you lgbt+ people, i admire your courage and how strong you are, but if you could just acknowledge that not all cishets are a-hole that& #39;d be nice.
Thirdly, cancel culture is messed up. sure someone made a tweet/joke about something [in this year] that isn& #39;t accepted, we don& #39;t have to cancel them if we CLEARLY see that they no longer do things like that? like?
yes, its different if a cc keeps making harmful racist, sexist, ect jokes but not when they did it like 5 years ago? [1 year could be fine just don& #39;t like #/blankisoverparty!!!11!] and the whole concept of cancelling is dumb
if there& #39;s something wrong, either understand that it is a joke or reasonably explain why something is wrong. And i don& #39;t want to come off as one of the prestigious stuck-up rude, sassy, cishets but some jokes are edgy,
, some jokes can be offensive if taken the wrong way [of course if the joke is really bad ignore this], and sometimes we have to deal with life problems rather that tweet about it. [kind of hypocritical here but ill explain]
My above point just pushed aside my last point but i have been dealing with it, i& #39;ve taken those cishet jokes, i read them and feel bad about myself. but i might be stronger than others, though i can be sensitive others might be more sensitive/
/some men might cry when they see the whole female,non-binary, every gender hating on them. some cishets might think they& #39;re wrong and that they are evil. some creators might quit because their edgy joke from their teen content age has the whole/
twitter against them. i like to go by the saying "treat people how you want to be treated", and hypothetically that means aholes wanna be attacked, but treating them badly doesn& #39;t do anything but rile up the fire.
Yes, I& #39;m a white, cishet, very lucky women. Yes I have never been bullied or attacked. But if you could at least acknowledge what i have said, that would be enough.
