LRTs Listening to Nam’s interview I get the impression, if it wasn't clear already, that the prevailing sentiment amongst skaters re: the judging system is that of resignation. The lack of power balance between skaters and the ISU is implicit but evident.

For him to even acknowledge the judging system as being flawed, and that as skaters there’s nothing they can do to change it and that they’re merely subject to ISU’s whims is heartbreaking. I'm glad that Yuzu's thesis is being talked about also in the FS community outside Japan.

I don’t expect Yuzu's thesis to change anything in the immediate future, but if it emboldens other skaters to speak at least one word on the flaws of the judging system, then his work has already set that first step in motion to move this seemingly indomitable mountain.
