Why the opening of Wano's borders is tied to the collapse of the balance of power. Mini thread.

1. During Oden's flashback, he shares dialogue with Whitebeard and crew, remarking about how he never understood exactly why Wano kept their borders closed. Whitebeard responding by telling him that by doing so, Wano ironically remained free from World Government control.

2. Wano is a country that the Navy are highly cautious of and unwilling to invade. This however, has not stopped the World Government from brokering deals with Orochi, Kaido and Doflamingo.

3. With the abolition of the 7 Warlords, one of the balancing powers is already gone and this has removed the normal circumstances under which the yonko would never likely form an alliance.

This has left the Navy stretched for resources.

4. However, it should be remembered that the Navy is only the outward face of the World Government. Them not being able to act ≠ The World Government cannot act.

5. It's already been stated that the balance of power hangs on a knife edge and that if two yonko were to fall, the situation would be irreparable

An unnecessary concern, apparently.

6. This raises the question, how the hell is anyone supposed to defeat not one but two yonko at the same time?

Well with dirty tactics of course.

7. CP0 have already expressed interest and motive in obtaining Kaido's fruit & two of them bare striking resemblance to kids from Big Mom's past.

8. On Kaido's front, they already have Luffy and co putting in all the leg work for them

On Big Mom's front. There's a very easy way send her off the rails. Reveal the truth of Mother Caramel and send her into a blind rage!

9. It seems very possible that CP0 will be the ones to claim victory in Wano and open the borders.

Under these circumstances, Wano would likely become a WG puppet state for weapons trafficking.

This would provide a parallel of Momo leaving Wano under someone else's control, just like Oden had to.

With the balance of power now totally collapsed. The Great Cleansing is likely to begin.
