aight here we go... IN THE PRESENT? addresses the illusion that is time, and the qualms we may have with the experience. https://twitter.com/avrahge/status/1391312937873297410">https://twitter.com/avrahge/s...
when I started writing this album I couldnât find an overlying concept, but as I listened to the songs a consistent theme seemed to be âtimeâ
but doesnât so much of our life revolve around time? so in a way, doesnât every song address our relationship with it in some way? the answer is yes, this is my first album, many of my titles and concepts to this point are cliches

(sidenote: my name used to be Avrahge for a reason but i digress)
so early on I decided I wanted the album title to directly question the concept of time. I wanted all the songs to pertain to experiences that have made up my past, and my contemplations of the future...
part of the reason for this was because of my research for meditative practices, and the idea that we are always time travelingâ associating depression with the past and anxiety with the future
lately iâve been getting into this idea of checkpoints: putting a lot of energy into a particular present moment so you have an impact such that your future self can feel direct love from your past self
i feel like through writing music, i set a lot of checkpoints because i mix fake stories in with real events of my life. then in one way or another, my lyrics address things I experienced AFTER the release/writing of the song. i think thatâs a beautiful thing about art.
