It is almost two in the morning and I& #39;m on hold with the emergency vet because Nemo (one of the fancy rats) somehow snuck a packet of my CBD powder during his social hour and ate the whole goddamn thing, paper and all
There& #39;s no THC and the vet tech had to take a breath to keep from laughing so I& #39;m guessing it& #39;s probably fine, but I gotta check with one of their specialists and meanwhile I will say that Nemo, perhaps the most skittish of all of his brothers, seems extremely chill right now
Portrait of a criminal (I’m still on hold)
Okay so that second hold was the vet checking some notes and to quote her exactly Nemo is “probably absolutely fine” though I still need to monitor him, and I should “give him something fatty to help him absorb it, like nuts, or a tiny little pizza haha”
Lol Nemo basically just ate $2 and then got a medical blessing to chow down on more than his fair share of pine nuts, thanks a lot asshole
JUST IN CASE bc I don& #39;t want to be accidentally misleading:

- the vet said that I should watch for signs of abnormal behavior like drowsiness or inability to rouse him
- in her opinion, because I& #39;d observed Nemo for a while before I called, she didn& #39;t think he ate much actually
If your pets accidentally eat CBD please do not take this thread in place of medical advice, call your vet! My vet specifically didn& #39;t seem worried bc I reported normal, healthy behavior; also, lol I still have to monitor him for four more hours
