To stop people from intefering, you can always make your account private! if you have an account which comes under the influncer tag, this is some steps/ways to be safe.
Step 1 : you can go into the settings and click on privacy

Step 2 : After clicking on privacy, you can decide from a lot of options, you can stop people from commenting, tagging you in posts or mentioning you in stories!

Step 3 : if scared that they might follow you and comment, just click on the option and comments and choose "people i follow"!

Step 4 : open message controls and click under "who can add me in groups" and choose desirable option!

Step 5 : finally, to hide offensive comments you can use the manual filter! It hides multiple offensive comments :)
