° India came down to chase with shikhar dhawan and rohit sharma. Losing Dhawan early . Rohit Sharma and virat kohli handled the indian innings . Virat scored a decent 61 and rohit 47. Then suresh raina took the command. Unfortunately indian batting order collapsed before aus pace

SMS STADIUM JAIPUR

While aus was leading in the series . India need to do a comeback. And this comeback was really impressive.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat as usual .

The openers gave a wonderful start to australian innings both scoring a fifty
After getting to his fifty, Shane Watson was soon dismissed by Vinay Kumar on 59. Australian captain George Bailey and Glenn Maxwell both scored fifty and Australia ended their innings on 359/5 with George Bailey standing not out on 92.This was the first time when top 5 scored 50
Well no one was predicting India's win . The indian top 3 had some other plans
India then started nicely and compiled 100 runs in just 16.2 overs with the loss of no wicket. Both openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma completed their fifties.
and added 176 runs for the first wicket before Dhawan got caught behind off James Faulkner. Virat Kohli then came to the crease and was dropped on the first ball. Kohli then got a good start and completed his half century in 27 Balls.
Rohit got to his 3rd hundred in 100 balls, and Kohli got the fastest hundred by any Indian batsman, the century coming in just 52 balls and India went on to win the match by 9 wickets with 38 balls to spare.

This was the most wonderful chase i have ever seen .

This time Australia won the toss and elected to field

With losing both the openers early .India batting first scored 303/9 .With a msd masterclass in it . Msd scored 139*(121). And vk scored a decent 68 too. Mitchell Johnson who was on fire took 4.
Australia came down to chase with another decent start by the openers Australia lost their openers in quick succession. Then George Bailey and adam voges handled the aus innings. And with the finishing touches of Faulkner with the bat aus won the match by 4 wickets.
4th and 5th odis gave no results.
6th odi

Played at nagpur.

While batting first Australia scored 350/6
With magical 102 by watto man and 156 by George Bailey. And cherry in cake by adam voges in the end .

Ashwin and jadeja took 2-2 wickets respectively .

Another 350+ chase needed a good opening partnership
With Rohit Sharma decent 50 and Shikhar Dhawan's assured century at the top, and Virat Kohli's 61-ball one at No. 3 - the third-fastest by an Indian, challenging his own record of 52 balls- India became the first team to have chased down 350 or more twice. The chase master at work
The final odi

Played at chinna swami stadium

Australia won the toss and elected to field

It was the series decider a day before Diwali. So indians needed some crackers out thier in field so does rohit sharma gave .

While batting first Rohit Sharma and Shikhar started well
The madness began with Rohit. For a batsman to have the opportunity of making a double-century in 50 overs. Rohit might have felt the need to compensate his team and the crowd for running out Virat Kohli, the hottest batting talent in India at the moment, for a duck
He and MS Dhoni plundered 167 runs off 94 balls for the fifth wicket. India scored 151 in the last ten overs, of which 101 came in the last five. Rohit had gone past 100 off 114 balls. And then he went past 200 off his 156th delivery.
When Australia had slipped to 74 for 4 in the 17th over of the chase, with Watson hamstrung in the dressing room,India looked like coasting to victory. But out came Maxwell, wielding his bat like a hammer. He hit his first ball for six, and then pillaged Vinay to sprint to 28 of 6.
The most astonishing performance of the day, however, came from Faulkner, who added 115 runs with McKay for the ninth wicket. At one point, when the stand was worth 57, McKay had contributed no runs to it. While Faulkner hit fours and sixes seemingly at will, the Diwali crowd fell
silent and had he had a proper batsman for company, Australia may have been able to pull off one of the most improbable chase.
They needed only 67 off 48 balls when Ravindra Jadeja began to slow them down, first with a three-run over .
Faulkner then mis-hit the next ball, high into the night sky, and Dhawan, running fast to his right at deep midwicket, caught it superbly to give India the series 3-2.
I still remember watching this match a day before diwali people were bursting crackers at the night .
Most runs:-
George Bailey (478)
Rohit Sharma (491)
Virat Kohli (344)

Most wickets:-
Mitchell Johnson (7)
James Faulkner (7)
Ravichandran Ashwin (9)

This was one of the most exciting and wonderful ind vs aus series i have ever saw .
