Sorry but I'm on this foldable powerchair company's site and their FAQ says that their powerchairs are "not appropriate for users with disabilities"

And I just....who is their target audience then???
Lmao, @EZLiteCruiser, who do you think is using your powerchairs if not disabled people? 😭
Anyway this is why I wish I could start a mobility aid/accessibility furniture company where everything was designed by actually disabled people so stuff was functional, not ugly, and had better repair services
Why is it so hard for wheelchair companies to make reclining wheelchairs that are user-reclinable, like the recliner chair industry didn't figure that out in the 1800s? Also why are 99% of the reclinable chairs that do exist manual chairs with low weight limits?
I think this might be worse than how the mobility aid store down the block from my apartment has stairs to get in and no ramp, honestly
People are saying it’s to cover their ass from lawsuits but if so, they need a better lawyer because even the most incompetent lawyer could breeze through the “we never intended our wheelchairs to be used by disabled people” argument it’s so flimsy
I thought this through further and I don’t think Rudy Giuliani could breeze through this argument in court so I retract my statement to say most incompetent lawyers could breeze through this argument in court
Also the people making fatphobic jokes in my mentions should know that I hate them. I’m fat and disabled and this narrative is why I’ve been bedbound with no chair for SIX YEARS
Also yes, I know they don’t have FDA approval and that they’re not considered DME for insurance purposes. That is different than outright putting a fake FAQ in on your site saying “lol not for cripples!!!”
Every single person making ableist fatphobic jokes on my goddamn tweet owes me $100, I don't make the rules
[taps mic] PSA: Elderly people who need mobility aids to be mobile, are also disabled. Please stop telling me "maybe they mean elderly people?" as if the elderly people who need power chairs are not also using them as medical equipment
