For the final day of the wonderful #TweetersFlowerShow here is my #GardenTransformation. We inherited this overgrown jungle of laurels, ferns, brambles and grasses, with a scrappy bit of sad lawn up by the house. But I imagined something quite different. Thread... 1/6 #Gardening
The lower jungle became a lawn, and we kept an ancient tree stump that hosts a multitude of plant and insect life. My boys can rampage around here with only some shrubs around the edges to worry about. This is their part of the garden. 2/6 #FlowerHunting
And this was the upper section of the garden by the house. Nothing much to initially inspire, but I saw only potential... 3/6
For it to become this... The generous, deep flower beds I had always dreamt of, with winding paths running through, a rose arch, trickling water and a bench to sit on. 4/6 #GardenDayUK
Finished off with a small fruit and vegetable patch, a raised herb planter and a patio at the very top where we can sit and enjoy the fruits of our labours (when I’m not jumping up as I’ve seen something else that needs deadheading!) 5/6 #FlowerHunting
This garden is what has kept me going this last year. It’s where I find solace. It’s where I feel close to my sister, as I now tend to many of the plants that she bought for her garden before she died. It’s my little bit of heaven here on earth. 6/6 #Gardening #Flowers
