I think if I was going to invest or setup a company in Scotland I wouldn't - instead I would setup in the north of England - why risk it when the SNP might attempt at any moment to rip Scotland out of the UK, trigger a currency and debt crisis and implode the public finances

1/
This is a problem that the Scottish economy will continue to have - it's going to act as a brake on any long term recovery - it will also make Scotland even more dependent upon transfers from the rUK - which will make independence even more tough to sell

2/
Furthermore the failing healthcare and education systems will cut through more and more - I know people don't seem to care but they do - it's these bread and butter issues that are the life blood of any successful government - and the SNP has totally screwed them

3/
On a more broad note - no foreign government is going to be interested in the SNP at the best of times - most have their own separatist movements which they wouldn't want to encourage - furthermore you are just beginning to see security moving up their priorities

4/
But they definitely won't be interested in a party that has no majority and didn't win a majority of votes - the whole "moral" argument is null and void - the SNP can expect to have doors slammed in their faces as they flounce around the world looking for sympathy and support

5/
But I question whether the SNP even want independence - it might be their main policy - but I've not seen any really evidence they are preparing hard for it - the public finances are a mess, the Scottish public is split and they still have no answers to the big questions

6/
Brexit took a lump hammer to their independence light option via EU or EFTA membership - and they know the rUK wouldn't make it easy - Sturgeon et al frankly look bereft of ideas - they also look more comfortable bathing in the complacent adulation of their cult

7/
One suspects that they would hold fire except for the pressure coming from Salmond and the fundamentalist wing of the independence movement - those who want it at any cost - those who are slowly fracturing the SNPs coalition - time is against the SNP in many ways

8/
So expect a lot of noise and pretence of action - maybe even a Scottish parliamentary act for a referendum but not much else - an effort to placate the lunatic fringe - whilst at the time they hold out their grubby hands for more money from WM like the hypocrits they are
