All covid19 vaccines are modeled on existing flu vaccines. As a parent of two young kids who got regular flu shots at the onset of winter every year, I can tell you they're of very limited efficacy. Both kids regularly caught and brought home every bug they caught in school...

... With India, we have our troubles doubled because the lack of a scientific approach towards dealing with the virus. Denial and subterfuge isn't going to make this virus go away, rather rampant spread is helping it mutate into much more virulent strains compromising...

... natural and vaccine immunity. If we continue unvaccinated the pace of mutations will defeat vaccine efficacy, increasing progressively. The virus's ability to mutate is much faster than our ability to upgrade vaccines by a very long shot. This is going to be a long trudge.
