A Thread on Joe Root and why he should be no.2 across all formats
Joe Root in Tests:
Career avg : 48.96 with 20 hundreds
In Aus : 570 runs @ 38 avg
In India : 952 runs @ 50.11avg
In SA : 703 runs @ 50.21avg
In NZ : 469 runs @ 39.08 avg

He is only person from Fab 4 who has 3 double hundreds away from home.
Joe Root in ODIs:

In Aus: 422 runs @ 35.17 avg
In India : 295 runs @ 59 avg
In NZ : 556 runs @ 69.50 avg
In SA : 417 runs @ 59.17 avg

He is next to Virat in successful run chases
Joe Root in T20s:

He has been a good T20 batsman who can rotate the strike and hit at the end. He can even score runs at a good SR. Eg :
If Eng would have win the T20 WC 2016 Joe Root would have been declared as Man of the Tournament.
Also took 2 important wickets in the finals against WI.
If Joe Root would have played IPL he would have definitely been ranked high by the people of India. But sadly it& #39;s Kane Williamson for them as he plays IPL and perform well. They don& #39;t see that Kane has a poor record overseas. Still he is rated more than Root. :(
I don& #39;t hate Kane Williamson but I hate when people say blindly that Kane is better than Joe Root. I will agree at one point maybe that Kane is better than Root in T20s but I will never agree that Kane is better than Joe Root in ODIs and Tests.

To those who would say Joe Root doesn& #39;t play in T20s for England currently than let me clarify you it& #39;s bcoz of Malan& #39;s consistency.
