So, took a look at this (what toriyama actually said) and the english translation seems to be a bit off. He refers to "Refreshed" visuals. This doesnt seem to be a major stylistic shift, i imagine a simple color/environmental change, with Shintanis more matured style. 1/2

Theres not much emphasis on the visuals in the text, however theres heavy emphasis on the unexpected character, obviously implying thats a majorly important part of the movie. The whole mostly cgi thing seems to be wrong. But the returning z villain being unexpected may be right.

I wouldnt be very worried about heavy cgi or anything in this. if he would've put emphasis on the new visuals, then i would believe that, but the way its stated here is as if its barely important, just a thing to note lol
