In our culture when someone dies the family isolates itself for 13 days till completion of Shraadhh Karm.

The person who cremates the dead body is further isolated completely with simple diet and hygiene.

Have you gave it a thought?
After someone dies either due to illness or age, negative energy and bacteria reside in that place.

It takes effort and time to clean and purify the place and bodies of family members.

Thus this isolation and all the rituals of Shuddhi.
Similarly, when a new child is born, mother and child are isolated for 6-10 days.

They are prone to bacteria and germs as child is not immune to the world.

Western thinkers and their slaves have mocked our culture for centuries.
But today when the world is suffering from pandemic, we are forced to follow same rituals knowingly or unknowingly.
