VU Grads--help us get a better sense of how grievance/complaint processes work by taking this thread of polls! Also feel free to dm us to share any experiences you have had with these processes. We'll use this all as we start to envision a new grievance process for grad workers!
As a graduate student at VU, did you ever file a complaint/grievance, a Title IX Office claim, or an Equal Opportunity and Access Office claim?
If you filed a claim, complaint, or grievance, was it clear at each stage of the process what next steps there might be?
If you filed a claim, complaint, or grievance, did you feel that the process was neutral, meaning that your case was being evaluated fairly and without bias in favor of either you or the party the case was about?
If you filed a claim, complaint, or grievance, how long did it take for you to receive the final outcome?
If you have had an experience that could have been grounds to file a grievance, complaint, or EEA/Title IX Office claim but did not do so, why didn't you file?
