Ad-Dajjal (The false Messiah) :

Before I really start this thread I just want to make sure we all take this very seriously. Dajjal is not someone to joke around with, or brush to one side. He may be one of the major signs of the day of judgement but make no mistake, people are already preparing for his arrival.

On the next few slides I’m going to be breaking down who he is, what he looks like and what his purpose is on this world etc.

Who is Dajjal?

The Dajjal is someone who will come near the end of times and will misguide many people, non Muslims and Muslims included.
It’s said the coming of Dajjal is so severe that the doors of repentance will be shut.

The word Dajjaal is taken from the expression “Dajjala al-ba’eer (he smeared the camel)”, referring to when they covered it with tar. The root dajala means to mix.

The word ‘dajala’ means deliberately confusing matters and being vague and ambiguous. The Dajjal is the one who speaks vaguely, tells many lies and deceives many people.

The word “Dajjaal” became a title given to the lying, one-eyed, false messiah. The Dajjaal is so called because he will conceal his kufr from the people by lying to them, deceiving them and confusing them.

How does the Dajjal look like?

According to hadiths the Dajjal will be a young man with a ruddy complexion, short, with thick curly hair, a wide forehead, and broad upper chest, blind or defective (mamsooh) in the right eye. This eye will be neither

prominent nor sunken, and will look like a floating grape. A believer, whether he/she is an illiterate or literate person, will be able to read it.

His left eye will be covered with a thick piece of flesh growing at the edge of his eye. Written between his eyes will be “Kaaf faa’ raa’ (K-F-R)”, in separate (Arabic) letters, or “kaafir”, with the letters joined. This will be read by every Muslim, literate or illiterate.

Another of his characteristics will be that he will be sterile, with no children born to him. There’s many hadiths describing his appearance you can look that up on google.

Where will he come from?

The Dajjaal will emerge from the direction of the east, from Khurasaan, from among the Jews of Isfahaan. Then he will travel throughout the earth and will leave no city without entering it, apart from Makkah and Madeenah, which he will not be able to

enter because the angels are guarding them. He will be forbidden to enter Makkah or Madinah سُبْحَانَ ٱللَّٰهِ. If he ever tried to enter, the angels will be ready for him with swords.

Who are the followers of Dajjaal?

Most of the followers of the Dajjaal will be from among the Jews, Persians and Turks, and a mixture of other people, mostly Bedouins and women according to authentic hadiths.

What’s Dajjals purpose?

The main purpose of Dajjal is to impersonate the real messiah Isa عليه السلام. He will cause mischief & misguidance. Any Muslim who will follow him will immediately become a kafir. The Dajjal will think he is an actual God.

He will raise people from the dead, bring rain down upon the earth,
reviving the earth to bring forth vegetation, and other “miracles.” 
He only has the capability to do this once.

He will have a paradise and a hell with him, but his paradise will be his hell and his hell will be his paradise. So if we ever have to pick from the Dajjal, then pick the hell because that will be paradise.

The fitnah of the Dajjaal:

The fitnah of the Dajjaal will be the greatest fitnah from the time Allaah created Adam until the Hour begins. This will be because of the mighty miracles that Allaah will create with him, which will dazzle people’s minds and amaze them.

How long will the Dajjaal stay for?

According to the words of the Prophet ﷺ he will stay for, Forty days: one day like a year, one day like a month, one day like a week, and the rest of the days like your normal days.

Protection against the Dajjal:

The prophet Muhammad ﷺ said,

“Whoever memorizes ten aayaat from the beginning of Soorat al-Kahf will be protected from the Dajjaal”

The death of Dajjal:

The death of Dajjal will be by the hands of the true Messiah Isa عليه السلام (Jesus). Isa عليه السلام will catch up with him at the gate of Ludd (Lod), a place in Palestine near Bayt al-Maqdis.

When the Dajjal sees Isa عليه السلام he will melt just how salt melts in water. The Dajjal will try to make a run for it but Isa عليه السلام will not let him run. He will kil* him with a spear.

I can add more and more but I don’t want to make it longer than it already is. Make dua that Allah safeguards us from the fitnah of the Dajjal and makes us strong in our Emaan!
