The Premier League table if the games were decided by free kick shootouts: A THREAD
1. Everton

James Rodriguez
Gylfi Sigurdsson
Lucas Digne
Bernard
Richarlison

Everton are of course champions. 3/5 of their takers are free kick specialists. Bernard is also capable of taking free kicks and I've never seen Richarlison take one before but his teammates cover him
2. Manchester City

Kevin De Bruyne
Riyad Mahrez
Ilkay Gundogan
Kyle Walker
Fernandinho

Although KDB is their only free kick specialist, the other 4 are all also great at taking free kicks. All have scored a few in their careers and would give City a runners up spot.
3. Manchester United

Bruno Fernandes
Juan Mata
Alex Telles
Paul Pogba
Marcus Rashford

Bruno and Mata are free kick phenomenons. Telles also scored a few for Porto, they would be second however Pogba and Rashford are both very hit and miss with free kicks. Still UCL though.
4. Chelsea

Marcos Alonso
Mason Mount
Hakim Ziyech
Jorginho
Reece James

Although Marcos Alonso is their only free kick specialist, Mount and Ziyech are both great free kick takers too. Jorginho and Reece James also are capable takers and manage to get top 4.
5. Arsenal

Martin Odegaard
Nicolas Pepe
Willian
Granit Xhaka
David Luiz

Although Arsenal have no free kick specialists, these 5 are all capable of scoring one. This season Arsenal's free kicks have been underwhelming however they are high up because all 5 takers are capable.
6. Tottenham

Gareth Bale
Erik Lamela
Giovani Lo Celso
Lucas Moura
Eric Dier

If it weren't for Bale, Spurs would be a lot lower. The Welshman is a specialist where the other 4 are average at free kicks. The other 4 have all scored free kicks before but still not the greatest.
7. Leicester City

James Maddison
Christian Fuchs
Youri Tielemans
Marc Albrighton
Harvey Barnes

Maddison, Fuchs and Tielemans are all great with a dead ball and have all scored a fair few for either Leicester or former clubs. The other 2 aren't quite as good but still capable.
8. Crystal Palace

Andros Townsend
Luka Milivojević
Ebere Eze
Jordan Ayew
Patrick Van-Aanholt

Although Townsend and Milivojević haven't scored many in the last 2 years they are both fantastic free kick takers. Eze scored a great one this season. Ayew and PVA are both capable.
9. Southampton

James Ward-Prowse
Stuart Armstrong
Theo Walcott
Takumi Minamino
Ryan Bertrand

You have to feel for Ward-Prowse, he is undoubtedly the best free kick taker in the league, however his 4 teammates let him down. Armstrong is capable and the other 3 aren't great.
10. Liverpool

Trent Alexander-Arnold
Xherdan Shaqiri
James Milner
Jordan Henderson
Virgil Van Dijk

Apart from Trent, Liverpool's free kick options are pretty mediocre and even Trent himself, his free kicks have been poor this season.
11. Leeds United

Sam Greenwood
Pablo Hernandez
Raphinha
Helder Costa
Kalvin Phillips

If you don't already know Sam Greenwood, you soon will. He's been on fire this season for Leeds' u23s and is a free kick specialist.
P. Hernandez and Raphinha are also great at free kicks.
12. West Ham United

Aaron Cresswell
Manuel Lanzini
Pablo Fornals
Andriy Yarmolenko
Mark Noble

Not much to say here. Cresswell is a fantastic free kick taker and the other 4 are all reliable takers which gives the hammers a strong mid table finish.
13. Brighton

Alexis Mac Allister
Yves Bissouma
Lewis Dunk
Leandro Trossard
Davy Pröpper

Mac Allister is close to becoming a free kick specialist with Bissouma and Dunk both good with a dead ball themselves. Maybe higher in the table if Trossard and Pröpper were better at them.
14. Wolves

Ruben Neves
Joao Moutinho
Leander Dendoncker
Vitor Ferreira
Willian Jose

I feel bad for putting such free kick greats like Neves and Moutinho low in the table but their Wolves teammates are all poor at free kicks. Without Neves and Moutinho they would get relegated.
15. Aston Villa

Jack Grealish
Ross Barkley
Morgan Sanson
Anwar El Ghazi
Ahmed Elmohamady

None of these players are special at free kicks but none of them are bad at free kicks so Villa finish 15th.
16. West Brom

Robert Snograss
Matheus Pereira
Kamil Grosicki
Matt Phillips
Jake Livermore

WBA are lucky they have Snodgrass and Pereira who are dead ball specialists to keep them up because the other players are not suitable free kick takers to stay up in the premier league.
17. Burnley

Ashley Westwood
Jóhann Gudmundsson
Robbie Brady
Josh Benson
Josh Brownhill

The clarets stay up by the skin of their teeth because although they don't have any standout players, they have 4 or 5 solid free kick takers who are able to keep them up.
18. Newcastle United

Jonjo Shelvey
Jacob Murphy
Matt Ritchie
Miguel Almiron
Fabian Schar

Newcastle are relegated and you have to feel for Shelvey, Murphy and Ritchie because they're all decent free kick takers. Been let down by Almiron and Schar.
19. Fulham

Tom Cairney
Mario Lemina
Ivan Cavaleiro
Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Harrison Reed

It's no shock Fulham go down. They don't have any appealing free kick takers and it was likely they were going down as soon as the season started.
20th. Sheffield United

John Fleck
Oliver Norwood
Rhian Brewster
Ben Osborn
David McGoldrick

Just like Fulham, Sheffield United have no appealing free kick takers and it looked likely they would also get relegated. Fleck may score the occasional free kick or 2 but not enough.
