When I was 11, I bawled a stylist out for complaining about my hair being “too thick”. I said “Ain’t my momma paying you?! You do HAIR, right?!” I remember that. I was a Black client before I was servicing Black clients. I DO NOT charge extra for thick or long hair.

I have my rules like any other stylist, but you are PAYING for a service. I am NOT doing YOU a favor by doing your hair. I will always “aht aht” you for apologizing for how you hair grows out your damn head.
