I know it’s hard for some of y’all, and we have plans to help out with that a bit, but please think about things like your silhouette when you change up.

“Change your bloc” means change your look. Not just changing brands and to avoid identifying wear and tear, you gotta change actual styles and work to be unidentifiable, even to your friends on the ground.
When folks walk up to me while I’m in bloc before I open my mouth and know who I am, I worry all night about getting snatched and try to fix my bloc for next time.
It can be tempting to have a “signature look” so you’re recognizable as an established person in the scene. The cops will learn it better than your comrades, it’s not worth it. Anonymity isn’t something that can be accomplished halfway.
I’ve personally struggled with this, and it’s taken some introspection and dropping of ego to get to where I stand today. Being recognized or loved in advance isn’t as powerful as being judged solely for your current contributions and convictions.
The impulse to offer your image and your experiences as an anchor for people desperate to be lead is strong. Especially when both parties have good intentions. It’s not healthy to be a celebrity in any capacity in radical spaces.
