When @RLong_Bailey was unfairly sacked from the shadow cabinet - Angela Rayner said nothing.

When @jeremycorbyn was suspended from the Labour Party - Angela Rayner said nothing.

When Labour members were suspended for calling Prince Philip a racist - Angela Rayner said nothing.
When Hartlepool CLP had a candidate (who eventually lost) forced upon them by the party - Angela Rayner said nothing.

When Momentum was attacked and Party Members were labelled “militant trots” and “undesirables” - Angela Rayner said nothing.
When Keir Starmer led Labour into what is perhaps our worst local election results ever, then scapegoated and sacked Angela Rayner...

The left did *not* say nothing. We spoke up for her and condemned today’s events.

You know why?

Because we don’t go back on our principles.
This Party does not deserve us. I have seen socialists and Corbyn supporting party members experience the contempt we’ve been subjected to since Corbyn’s exit.

The total disregard, the disdain, the scorn and ire of The Labour Right.

But many still voted, and many proved that
we are different from the self-interested centrists who sabotaged their own party’s election efforts under Corbyn’s leadership.

Empathy is at the bedrock of our principles and we must never forget that.
