Why Bradley Dack is too disrespected, A THREAD:
Let’s go back to the start,
Bradley dack spent 5 years with gillingham for a struggling team/ mid table league one side. He shone out from the start and went on to score 37 goals at a young age enjoying many successful seasons.
The most notable season being his 15/16 season, he grabbed the league one player of the year award, as well as every gillingham award possible, a testament to his ability. Netting 13 goals and claiming 12 assists from attacking midfield. This season also saw him get a fifa TOTS.
These accolades saw him get a move to Blackburn in 2017, a team recently relegated from the championship and looking to gain promotion, he signed for 750k on the 27th of June, optimistic for promotion at first time of asking.
At Rovers Dack went on to thrive completely, staring in a side who went on to gain automatic promotion, with Bradley Dack firmly at the helm. The midfielder looked special in a counter attacking, fast side.
Dack quickly became a fan favourite, but what he offered on the pitch was something special. A blend of pace, strength and hold up ability combined with a natural-born knack of spacial awareness and clinicity, always seeming to be in the right place at the right time (1/2)
He showed an incredible instinct for scoring goals, something coming so naturally for a midfielder, Dack was a perfect hybrid of a midfielder and a number 9. It proved very successful in league one (2/2).
So successful that Blackburn ended up getting promoted automatically. Individually, Dack scored 18 goals and made 8 assists, finishing league one poty, the second time, making another tots on fifa, taking Blackburn’s player of the year also. A season full of achievement for him.
With people yet to see him in the championship there were doubts whether Dack could replicate his form in a higher division, Dack was quick to silence these doubts in an excellent season with Blackburn, never threatened by relegation, and cementing a place in the championship.
The midfielder proved his worth, netting instantly against hull on the first day and never looked back, scoring some important goals, 15 goals and 7 assists in his first championship seasons and a reliable goal scorer for that rovers side.
For his first season in the championship he averaged a G/A every 131 minutes from midfield, scored 5 goals against the top 6 and produced 6 match winners. These are all marvellous stats and need more recognition from my personal opinion.
As he went on to the 2019/20 season Dack showed no signs of slowing down netting 9 times with one assist in just half a season, looking to better his previous seasons record, scoring consistently, and playing very well. This before he was ruled out from injury unfortunately.
I personally, feel this time out has made people forget how special of a player Bradley dack is, and he should be highly accredited as a player.
Bradley dack suffered an ACL injury for around a year, and finally returned in December 2020, easing back into football, but still scoring 3 goals in 7 starts, a good return, earning the player a new contract until 2023 in a Blackburn shirt.
Unfortunately, horror struck Dack, when on Friday the 12th of march he suffered another ACL injury on the opposite leg, just as he was returning to his usual self.
Let this not distract however from how good he is and what he has done, this statistic for example taken in around January, Bradley Dack significantly ahead with a season less than the other players, an astonishing read.
To summarise, Bradley Dack has had an incredible career in the EFL leagues, and is proven goals and assists at championship level, this is superbly displayed by both his statistics and accolades, but also if you were to watch him and observe his natural goal scoring knack.
