That CEO fell into her position by sheer happenstance of birth and thinks that gives her the right to threaten workers like some feudal lord. Hardly any of these "cultures" are worth preserving burn it all https://twitter.com/IWriteAllDay_/status/1391114726361415685
It's the way workers transformed their homes into workplaces with nary a contribution from these jobs. No tech support, no budget for upgrading furniture, buying supplies, or increased utilities, no hardship pay, and expectations of 24/7 availability. They can stay mad
These assholes stay whining on main about how it's sad nobody's in the office to stroke their egos, do their work for them, or make them look like a "good boss" by participating in those inane workplace rituals. People are exhausted, grieving, and traumatized. Leave us alone
They've had over a year to reimagine work and didn't because they don't gaf. They don't care about how working remotely benefits so many of us. They're upset workers aren't physically present because their management metrics depend on in-person, narcissistic torture and abuse
It took me a long time to learn this and I've been free ever since: You are not your job. Your worth is not intrinsically tied to what you "do" or any perceived capacity to "produce." You have value because you exist, not because some asshole earning 250 times your salary says so
