okay okay i know this is a bts account but i have to reopen the discussion. how do you define the hogwarts houses

here's the context. so i went to a center because i'm currently in the process to diagnosed as autistic and well i was talking with the psychiatrist and as some people know harry potter is one of my specific interests and i mentioned that i was a slytherin and she had the

audacity to say that they're bad guys so obviously i've made a huge rant about how this was because jkr doesn't know how to create complex thoughts and i then proceeded to explain why i was a slytherin and why i loved it and i mentioned loyalty and she said that they aren't loyal

which of course sent me into a RAGE. so i breathed slowly and explained that in my opinion (but tbh this should be everyone's opinions) all the houses share the same traits but take different decisions/have different behaviours about it

and as an example i said that slytherins are loyal in a "i'd kill for you way" whereas gryffindors are loyal in a "i'd die for you" way and also she said slytherins despise hufflepuffs which is the worst thing i have ever heard

ok i know i said i was reopening the discussion but in fact i just want to repeat my rant

okay okay but. i hope people know i'm actually joking? the thing is. jkr is so shitty we can make whatever you want with the universe she invented so if you want to believe that idk hobi is a slytherin then you're totally right and i have in fact no right to tell you otherwise

the truth is that human identity is so complex that it can be confined to these kind of categories because we keep changing nothing is fixed in this world not even our souls everything moves, like horace says "penta rei" which means "everything flows", he says that if you take

a bath two times in the same river the water would feel the same but it won't be the same and that's how life is. it's just that someone apprehending our identities through these kind of prisms feel safer. no one is right no one is wrong and i love you all

if you feel bad about anything i've said think about me almost screaming on that psychiatrist because she said slytherins were bad guys i literally said (i swear to god) "just because jkr is the biggest piece of shit doesn't mean they're bad guys!!!!" and i talked for an insane

amount of time she almost thought i wasn't breathing enough and then she said "sheesh....... you really don't give up huh?" and i said with my whole fucking chest "no." WHO DOES THAT? WELL ME APPARENTLY
