Sticking with the photography theme, for today's 🎉Twitter Takeover🎉from @McrMuseum herbarium we can take a quick peak at some original glass plate negatives, which used to sit in some boxes labelled 'Trees' 🌳🌲🌲🌳.... #MFoN
...and indeed, many are nice images of trees. Like this row of pears. I like to think the gardener has just set aside his spade to have a well-earned cuppa after working on this display of horticultural excellence 🫖 #MFoN
...and this fellow is giving a huge, veteran tree the sort of loving look it deserves. Just look at the texture on that bark! 😍 #MFoN
However, some are photographs of parks and greenspaces. It doesn't take too long to spot the Rylands Building at the start of Market St, and to identify this one as Manchester's Piccadilly Gardens, complete with flowers. #MFoN
Some still remain a mystery to me, like this park with what seems to be a display of fossil tree trunks. I wonder whether anyone out there recognises it, and whether it's also local? #MFoN #FossilTree
Once upon a time at a @mcrhistfest event, this murky image was identified by an eagle-eyed visitor who spotted the Heaton Park temple in the background. For the sake of the golfer, I hope this image was over-exposed and the air wasn't as bad as it looks! #MfoN
