The @MACHINEgg and @SPUNJ combo deliver commentary the way a great chef delivers your weekly menu. A variety of different culinary experiences that combine into a coherent whole.

They give you a variety of commentary experiences. All of which fit together very neatly.
They do big frag play by play, big occasion commentary, humor, they do off topic stuff innuendo. They can be conversational in a lull and smoothly crank it up to action casting when it speeds up. They pick the right "dish" for the right moment and mix it up inside of a map.
That creates good, natural peaks and valleys inside the story of a match. It's not a constant one wave length play-by-play stream of words. It's varied in content and mood and it's what makes it so easy to listen to. It's not tiring.
The range of what they do is very broad and they don't sound like they're "manufacturing it". They sound natural. You don't go "oh, this one's a commentary device" with them.

However, they're not winging it. They're quite deliberate (and still they sound natural). It's rare.
I personally like a contrast in role and style between commentators (it generally makes it caster pairs an easier listen). They complement each other and don't step into each other's role. Yin and yang.
It makes most back and forth conversations Spunj and Machine have fun to listen to regardless of the on server action. You feel like you're in on a conversation.

Bonus points for charisma, particularly for the Australian.
You are never a finished article in my book, but those two are CSGO champagne. ❤️

This was the #DHMasters Spring Spunj and Machine appreciation thread. Thanks for reading. 😂
