I was going to leave well enough alone, but after talking to people about this morning, and returning to find that my room had been entered in my absence, changed my mind.
This is the "trauma-informed care" that @cityoftoronto is so proud of providing in their shelters.
Show me a person experiencing homelessness who doesn't have a fear-response when someone enters their space, and I'll point to a person who hasn't been outside for very long.

Spoiler: they're the same person.
Every single time @Homes_First staff enter a resident's space without consent, be it at the mandatory wellness checks at 08:30, 20:30, and 01:00, or any of the dozen other wellness checks that I hear at my neighbours' rooms every day, they are re-traumatizing people.
What part of that is "trauma-informed"? What part of it is "care"?

How many times does this need to be said?

Things like invading a person's space, insisting on using a person's deadname, pounding on the door threatening to throw a person out on the street if they don't answer...

These are not acceptable ways to deal with people who are trying to heal from the traumas of street life
Every day here, at least one resident loses their cool as they are consistently dealt with in this manner. Today it was me. Tomorrow it'll be some guy on the 5th floor or down the hall or at the lunch line.
This could be mitigated with actual trauma-informed care, but that would require an admission of wrong-doing.

I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for either.
Videos of this morning's entry and a confrontation with staff forthcoming once I figure out how to add vid files longer than 2m20s
Bloody nightmare. I hate computers. OneDrive it will have to be, cause I'm dumb.
