seeing people mindlessly retweet threads without knowing the depth of the settler state of israel’s utter EVIL just frustrates me. palestine and surrounding areas in the middle east have been suffering under the hands of the israeli govt for DECADES.

on a related note, my grandma literally had diagnosed ptsd after israeli soldiers barged into her home when she was alone and demanded to find my grandpa, also searched the home bc they thought they’d find “weapons” (they didn’t - just scare tactics to keep ppl fearful of them).

that incident traumatized her so deeply she still deals w it TO THIS DAY. she is in her 80s n has been having episodes since that day in her 20s. she’s diagnosed w depressive psychosis that was triggered by the incident. she has been medicated for 50+ yrs of her life.

my own mother also suffered at the hands of israeli soldiers too, but i’m not even gonna talk about that. it alr feels weird af to even share this. this thread was just me venting, fuck the zionist apartheid settler state of israel and everything they stand for.

also, my grandma has suffered for over 5 decades - but she is lucky to have escaped that incident w her life. but many palestinians (+ other arabs) lose livelihoods, homes, entire families at the hands of the israeli govt. injustice infiltrated every part of palestinians’ lives.

deleting later bc it feels gross to have y’all even know this abt my family, esp when most of u are kids picking twitter fights to feel cool n have no idea abt the real world, but just wanted to put it into perspective. their injustice extends way beyond my family’s experience.

ALSO no surprise that these incidents tend to spike during ramadan, yet another attempt to break the palestinian spirit. they want to make an entire nation feel small and weak but they never succeed. behind their weapons they are cowards, & palestinians are strong in their truth.

i urge you all to read more abt the conflict, don’t just retweet some links. the palestinian ppl have dealt w this settler state for decades and it’s important for young ppl, the future gen of leaders, to be informed. direct your attention towards this, learn abt the injustice
