Lawmakers and law enforcement need a viable counterstrategy. It's an easily understood tactic that must be countered

At a minimum, police should be empowered, instructed, and backed in the effort to prevent these groups from blocking traffic, arresting those who persist in the behavior or who subsequently resist that arrest. Laws and departments should back them in this unequivocally.

District Attorneys who drop the charges against offenders of this type should be vigorously recalled or otherwise removed from their positions by any legal means. This requires public pressure, so people who are sick of this, or rightly fear it, need to organize and push for it.

Lawmakers, police brass, police officers, and others with a stake in the game need to read manuals like "Beautiful Trouble" to understand and counter these sorts of "Good Trouble" activities. Politicians who sport "Good Trouble" messages should be punished by their constituents.
