Arvind P: USA is sitting on huge stock pile of vaccine but is not sharing it, it has material which is it not allowing to be exported elsewhere.... even Europe is not investing in manufacturing much- if u r a small country, it is easy but there is worldwide shortage

On the issue of self sufficiency, @rvenkayya : mRNA vaccines are not as complex as traditional vaccine manufacturing, so there is a possibility to ramp up quickly and one region that I would like to see vaccines going to Africa. Arvind P: we live in an imperfect world, and when a threat is nationwide threat, some coordination at national level is required and prioritisation has to be done. Delhi Govt has messed it up big time. Broader point is that it is national crisis, hence centre has to coordinate!

Arvind P: Govt was bombarded with articles even by fiction writers; in our democratic system, there is a problem that everybody becomes an expert and gives solution to the Govt! Even in US, allocation is also being done by federal Govt to states.

Great Qn by @RMantri : while in US, Govt gave 22 Billion for vaccine, in India, even a prepayment advance of 500 million was questioned by writers and even opposition leaders like @RahulGandhi etc.....
