What I find so ridiculous is that you have hundreds of groups releasing M/Vs for 25 years of kpop history, and people still think ANY concept can be "original".

This is why I hate i-stans who got into kpop in 2018, never bothered to learn anything, and now insist on being loud.
First thing you learn if you study art, literature, or music is that "originality" is not a thing. Pretty much everything ever written in the West can be traced to a handful of Greeks, and even they got their ideas from somewhere, it's just that we have no records of them.
And that's okay: NOTHING is as "overrated" as "originality", because in 99% of cases, things that go out of their way to be disconnected from anything that came before SUCK.

The first kpop song ever used a Public Enemy sample and elements from a SNAP! M/V, ffs.
In most cases, I don't care, and in some cases (you know who) I fully expect them to act a fool - but when it's people who are part of fandoms I'm in, it just pisses me off.

Seriously? ONCES of all people want to talk because a spoiler featured sth vaguely reminiscent of Signal?
Um, okay.

But at that point, let's talk about when Twice were accused of "copying" SNSD's Oh! for Cheer up, or SNSD's Party for DTNA, or HAD THE SAME DAMN VOLVO FROM SNSD's LION HEART in the intro to Yes or Yes.

See where I'm going with this?
Don't get me wrong, I love Twice with all my heart, but "originality" is the last reason why I'm a fan of a group literally created to be SNSD 2.0.

If you think Twice never borrowed or were inspired by others, sit the fuck down.

Ignorant people shut the fuck up 2021 challenge.
It's really fucking pathetic to witness fans who can't just enjoy their faves being great, but insist on their faves having to be the ones who INVENTED things.

Your faves and mine didn't invent shit. Least of all in kpop, which is one of the most derivative genres on the planet.
I love Twice because they are kind, talented, love each other, and work hard to bring us amazing music and entertaining content.

Definitely not because they were the first to feature a damn UFO in a music video, for fuck's sake. I couldn't care less.
Didn't Stellar have a whole song called "UFO" back in like 2012? Didn't Missy Elliott have a flying saucer in her M/V in 1997?

Is a music video about aliens and superpowers really the hill of originality you wanna die on?

Okay, go right ahead, then.
Oh, and I forgot:

A MAJOR reason I love both Oh My Girl and Twice is the deep friendship and respect they have had for EACH OTHER SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING.

So ANY fellow Once who talks shit about people who are close friends to Jihyo, Jeongyeon, and Nayeon can fuck right off.
And ANY I-Onces who want to come for me, my love for Twice, or my Once credentials for the crime of defending Oh My Girl:

Please, go ahead, if you like being embarassed to your core. Because you WILL lose.
