Yeah I'm kinda disturbed that the discussion of the "labor shortage" is framed as "people don't want to WORK" and not "people don't want to work under those CONDITIONS".

I mean I know WHY it is being done but it is still disturbing
I just want someone with influence to spell out plainly that the issue is the working conditions and not "lazy workers". And that also a lot of them are dead.

This would force them to admit that it is the workplace and not "living room spread" that is driving the spread of covid
With the exception of one, every person I know that suffered from covid, or was exposed and had to isolate, the exposure was a work-related incident.

we don't acknowledge the workers who kept the country running were the ones who died, we wanna pretend it was their fault.
And we do this so we don't feel guilty about how much we relied on them while also not paying them.

We thanked them for their service while telling them if they didn't like their jobs/pay to get new ones. And now they are trying to do that, and...
but don't mind me, I'm currently jealous because people are posting their post-vaccination returns to the salon and I have no stylist because he is dead.
