For the past year, a common argument from Canadian "anti-lockdown" protesters was that none of them got caught COVID, which was then used to dismiss the threat.
There was always reasons to be skeptical of them, but the past month we've seen much evidence to the contrary.

One protester at a Medicine Hat rally tested positive for COVID-19. The rally was at J Rocks Bar and Grill, a restaurant defying health orders, and was attended by Chris Sky when he was on his tour. Two buses that took people from Beauce to a large Montreal rally May 1st were exposed to COVID according to health authorities, with "less than five confirmed positive people" so far as passengers. A Quebec woman described as an anti-vaccine conspiracy theorist and anti-masker died of COVID-19. She came to her senses on her deathbed and asked people to get vaccinated as her last wish. Christopher James Pritchard once claimed that Mak Parhar tested positive for COVID while in jail for violating the Quarantine Act. Something often overlooked is that protesters regularly discourage people from getting tested. They say tests are >90% false positives and cannot be trusted, or that case counts do not matter and so people should stop getting tested to avoid playing into the "scamdemic" narrative

Some even try to scare people that it's the tests themselves that are somehow making people sick, e.g. scraping germs off people and being spread.

I have seen some true believers go through great lengths to avoid getting tested. One woman who went to a Toronto hospital refused to get tested & was kept in a dark windowless room. She slept with a blanket held to her face ("mask exempt") fearing she'd be tested in her sleep.
This makes things very convenient for the anti-maskers, one would even wonder if it's a deliberate strategy to conceal their real COVID numbers.

Supporters will often cry "what about" for other protests, but we don't have to worry about people from others avoiding getting tested when they're coughing up a lung. Plus they likely follow sanitary measures in their day-to-day life. These guys don't, even after being exposed.
That makes these protests much, much worse than others and a biohazard.

One I forgot. A Quebec City gym friendly to anti-maskers andvocal opponent of restrictions (fined three times) was a major superspeader. The owner posted anti-mask views and minimized COVID before then. He also tested positive
