tweeted this on Tuesday but eh fuck it, retweeting it again: I don& #39;t expect continuity/canon to ever be airtight but is it too much to ask that they not completely rewrite events to fit in whoever the new characters of the week are https://twitter.com/SarahDemp/status/1389706597362978819">https://twitter.com/SarahDemp...
like lol I& #39;m not exactly a canon purist or think it& #39;s sacrosanct but I feel like there& #39;s still room to express frustration that some people are allowed to play fast and loose just because they created the characters and therefore aren& #39;t beholden to what other writers created
like if the only idea you had to intro your new characters was to rewrite a comic arc that& #39;s basically not relevant at all, that seems like a you problem

does this ruin the show for me? nah. does it make me annoyed? yes. I recognize it& #39;s negligible in the grand scheme of things but it& #39;s still frustrating
am I also annoyed that they took a really well-done tragic story and turned it into the bad batch making jokes about dumb normies? ALSO YES, I& #39;M UNREASONABLY ANNOYED
idk!!! just feel like a lot of the canon discourse is people talking past each other!!!!! and yes I know i& #39;m contributing to it by typing out this thread!!!!! oh well!!!!!
