Some things I want to get off my chest:
This has been a brutal year for anyone who has covered/cheered for the #Flyers. I'd argue it has been the worst season in the last 25 years, including the 06/07 debacle. Never have expectations been so high with the result being so poor.

It has resulted in rude and angry exchanges between many of us, myself being guilty of it. I can only speak for myself, but I think it mainly comes down to still seeing some fans/reporters of this once greatly respected franchise being so complacent with this team.
The last seven years has been nothing short of garbage. I'd argue that no franchise has had a more meaningless stretch over that time. Even a team like Buffalo was able to draft stars/elite players (ie. Eichel, Dahlin) to give their franchise some glimmer of hope/talking points.
Because the #Flyers have made the playoffs in 3/7 seasons, it has resulted in no true stars being drafted and bad to mediocre seasons being the result. The team is compiled of good but not great players and aging stars who are rapidly approaching the back nine of their careers.
If this season has taught us anything, it is that the corporate ownership of this team only cares about one thing: the bottom line. It is no longer the days where the biggest #Flyers fan of all, Ed Snider, cheers on the team; this ownership only cares about people paying up.
In order for true change to happen, we collectively need to let this franchise know that this type of product is no longer acceptable. As long as there is a significant crowd that preaches things like "patience", "prospects" and "2-3 years" nothing will change for the better.
Demand better; don't settle for mediocrity; stop being complacent with good but not great players that have been here for eight years. Watch organizations like Toronto, Boston, Pittsburgh and Vegas and educate yourselves on what franchises that value winning looks like.
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and if you are okay with this, more power to you. But understand that for those of us who have cheered/covered this team for 10+ years, this is flat out unacceptable.
We want better; we deserve better; we demand better.
We want better; we deserve better; we demand better.
