Drunk tweeting so bear w me:
I want to ask everyone this =>
Why do Indian dads have to act so tough and worthy of feeling anything towards their kids? I consider my dad better than most dads at expressing love but he's far from decent. (1/4)
Today however when I sat down with him to have some drinks (he was happy because my college cancelled the entire next week), he told how much he was proud of me and will always love me. I cried, I couldn't hold back. Why can't dads just express what they feel all the time? (2/4)
I know that our patriarchal society conditions every male member to be the dependable pillar of the family and show that they are strong emotionally, physically, financially and what not but why is it normalised to not express love for our own kids? (3/4)
What the fuck do people think they are achieving while acting stone cold to their OWN kids?? I'm euphoric that my dad expressed what he feels about his kids today and I wish to see all other parents do the same to their kids

I love my dad so much.
