A frustrating thing about jewelry--and really any craft once you get to a certain point--is knowing /how much time and care/ went into making a thing, and knowing people won& #39;t see the price point value and pay what it& #39;s worth.
Example:
THIS IS HANDMADE. Sandblasted to give you such a clear, gorgeous image. For me to bother buying it and mocking it up, I need to know I can cover the cost of the bead, shipping, my materials and time.
But the bead itself is $65.
IT& #39;S WORTH IT. https://www.etsy.com/listing/721645439/headless-horseman-sandblasted-lampwork?ref=shop_home_active_17">https://www.etsy.com/listing/7...

This craftwoman has a skill that is beyond belief. But a lot of people have NO IDEA what goes into making a piece like that by hand in glass. None.
We assume, often, everything is accessible at a Target price point but the real artisan stuff takes time, material, and years to hone the skill to get it to that level.
And while jewelry certainly has its example, my heart goes out to knitters, crocheters, and quilters who have... such a struggle here. Dear Sky Poobah, people have no clue the time and effort sink.
