I'm vaccinated and visiting my parents for the first time in 18 months. My mom asked me to retrieve something from the basement storage area, the organization of which is her life's work. Here are some of my favorite labels found on storage containers.
Artistic fruit. This is an entire tub of plastic fruit to be displayed in various decorative settings.
Stones. I did not open this box. I assume it is heavy.
Bronze Door Stops. I struggle to fathom having so many extraneous door stops on-hand that they need to be categorized by material.
Maps. Just in case your GPS stops working and you need to know where that road went in 1979.
Totes. This is a tote filled with totes.
Hotel Soaps. Today I learned that my mother may be a kleptomaniac.
Spots. I... I truly do not know what is in this box.
B.J. Music. Okay so my initials are B.J. and I have gone by those initials for 30 years. That said, without context, this is a very disquieting label for a box of sheet music.
Eagle Man. I have a vague childhood memory of a large inflatable Philadelphia Eagles player. I'm guessing he lives here now.
