17 Habits Of Men Who Build Muscle And Lose The Gut While Still Enjoying Their Lives

After helping hundreds of men the last 10 years build a body they can be proud of, here are the habits all of them shared:

(THREAD)
1) They're in it for the long haul

Only Karens workout to get ready for the beach.

You, on the other hand, know that your body is your most precious asset.

You don't care how long it will take.

You'll stick to a plan until you reach your ideal physique
2) They train 3-4 days per week

People who train 2 or less are lazy

Training 5+ is unecessary

3) They train 45-60 minutes each time

Less is for noobs

More rarely benefits you

Plus you have a life you want to enjoy, remember?
4) They train each muscle 2-3 times/week

Forget "train each muscle group 1/week" - that's steroid induced propaganda

If you're a nattie (aka not taking steroids) your muscles need higher training frequencies

And no. You won't overtrain.
5) They do 1-2 hard sets per muscle, each training day

You won't gain much with more sets.

At worst, you might injure your good-looking self.

Plus, you'll save precious time.
6) They have a progressive overload plan

Example:

Do more reps + lift more weight

Basic overload plan that has been scientifically and empirically proven to challenge your muscles and make them big and strong
7) They stay away from low (1-5) reps

They catapult recovery needs.

If your technique is bad, you will injure yourself

For them to be effective, you need 3+ sets. So, you also waste time.

Do 6+ reps instead per set
8) They pick exercises that work for them

If the bench press hurts, stop.

Pick a different exercise.

Don't be brainwashed by Feetness Eggsperts: There's no "best" exercise for a muscle.

There are only exercises that agree or disagree with your body
9) They have a plan B if something hurts

Continuing from above: If the bench press hurts, do weighted pushups.

Do dumbbell bench presses.

Pec deck.

Your program should consider the possibility of pain and offer an alternative.

If not, it's a poop-y program
10) They eat whole foods 80% of the time

They satiate you.

They nourish you.

They vitalize you.

They give you everything you needs to look, feel, and perform at your best.
11) They eat what they want 20% of the time

For every 10 whole food meals, 2 meals can be whatever you want

Eating clean 100% of the time is unecessary.

Especially when there's pizza, chocolate and souvlakia in this world.
12) They hara hachi bu (aka eat to 80% of fullness)

You shouldn't think "I'm full"

You should think "I'm satiated"

And yes - it's OK to have leftovers
13) They adjust meals to their schedule, not their schedule to their meals

If you can eat 3 times per day, that's it.

You won't eat 6.

Nor 2.

There are no "musts" for optimal meal frequency.

There are only weak egos. Feetness eggsperts get butt-hurt when you don't obey them
14) They focus on a goal

Gaining muscle and losing fat happens easily when you're a noob.

After a certain level you need to focus.

Do you eat more and gain muscle?

Do you eat less and burn fat?

Focus
15) They don't obsess over food and exercise

Fitness is not a lifestyle.

The only ones who should obsess over it are people with no lives. Or models who get paid to have 6-pack abs year-round.

If you goof up, relax.

Restart tomorrow
16) They think differently than ordinary men

Ordinary men don't workout, eat like shit, and have no goals in life.

If you want to transform your life, you'll have to think differently than 99% of men

If you've read so far, you already do
17) They get help from pros

You can get OK results if you create your own program

But as a man, don't you want *great* results?

If you've been training for some time with subpar results, you need help from a pro.

Or at least admit that you can't find all the answers yourself
