This person is implying that light-skinned women endure colorism when Dark skinned women are the preference of a man. Fetishizing skin color/tone is not colorism, it’s deeply rooted in misogyny & the objectification of women & the root to many stereotypes (e.g.The Jezebel)
No one has a “preference” that isnt rooted in something that influenced it, that can be where you grewup, your up bringing, trauma a lot of things. But that’s not for me to unpack that’s for a counselor/therapist. (Love who you love but make sure it’s healthy) moving on:
Like Ive said before. Colorism is a SYSTEM that discriminates against those of darker skinned tones among the same race. But This person thinks that the inconvenience of not having a man return her feeling because of her lighter skin tone = colorism. No you just got rejected
Hi QueenAmber since the only place ive vented about what that colorist woman has done to me here im gonna say this, sorry you got rejected. But his fetish for dark skinned is not the fault of another woman. Maybe work on your internalized misogyny.
Colorism keeps dark skinned Black women out of doors where ppl like you or a Zandeya can thrive & represent all Black women. Colorism keeps a colorist at the top of PR list while she bullies & harms ppl under the guise of being radically kind.
Colorism denies & deflect when during a video I chose to be vulnerable about very real experiences and you chose to center yourself like a white person would when hearing they have privilege. (Everyone has privilege btw it doesnt make you some evil person but your behaviors do)
Imsorry if anyone in your life has made u feel lesser than cuz of your skintone. Bullying is never okay, but just know you’re doing the exact same thing but you have a system behind you to uplift you and keep you one step above me (look at the beauty standard when it comes to BW)
Never in my life have I felt beautiful. There are entire ad campaigns, generational trauma in the Black community + patriarchy that are built to belittle/degrade dark skinned women. My mom a lightskinned woman in her 40s is JUST starting to see how different the world is for me
Men preferring lightskinned women or even women is a fetish & gross but also weirdly tied to wanting “lightskinned” babies esp when talking about daughters. It’s putting you as an object instead of loving you as a person. Stop being the patriarchy’s work for them.
You wanna see colorism in your face, you can look at a small example here. It speaks volumes.

Intersectionality is really a lost concept on you. Lightskinned women dont have it easier. But colorism due to slavery has evolved to keep you closer to the beauty standard for ALL black women. It’s not your fault but due to power & how systems work, you have privilege here

And im not looking for compliments on my appearance. I dont hear them or absorb them like you think, thats why I placed that boundary ages ago with hyper sexualized compliments & focus on how I look. It’s a harsh trigger for me.
And yes Amber, I’ll probably be single forever, yes my dark skin probably contributes to that, but also I dont put myself out there because i dont have time to play guessing games with immature men on whether they date dark skinned women
And lets also stop pretending that Black women do receive harsh violence from their own when dating men outside their race also, when that violence does not go in reverse. :)
