Thread 1/10:
Amazing 5 days at #ICLR2021, just a few thoughts that I want to keep note of from all the mentor session, papers which caught my eye, socials, invited talks and the workshop

I may not go in specifics in this thread, thinking of writing a blog, maybe sometime
Thread 3/10:
Invited talk: Soft bodied robots for human centered design of robots for everyday life by Kyu Jin Cho

In this talk, he spoke about how soft robotics can be used to solve health related issues which hard robots have hard time to solve
Thread 4/10:
And I have to agree that soft robots have much more use cases than hard robots.

Although hard robots are much more cool but they seem to have an innate quality, which makes them less socially acceptable by people
Thread 5/10:
The most fun and extremely helpful sessions, were the mentorship session, although I attended many of them to mention in this thread, the one I found most interesting was by @cjmuise, in which he talked about how to go about for research publication
Thread 6/10:
My key takeaways from that:
(For reading a paper)
1. Try to predict what is going come next, when you are going through paper this helps to think in your way about you would have done before reading the author's approach.
2. Try to come with what they have done wrong
Thread 7/10:
(For writing a paper)
1. Just write down the idea's that you have in mind and maybe a short or long description about it
2. Write the paper name and abstract before starting to write the paper, so that you get an idea about what you want to achieve at the end of it
Thread 8/10:
And at last the workshop: "The Role of Mathematical Reasoning in General Artificial Intelligence", although it is not possible to mention each and every talk at the workshop, I will try to summarize it
Thread 9/10:
The workshop mainly revolved around the how mathematical reasoning in AI will be our way for AGI, and the various challenges around it like representation of problem, computational creativity and expressing formal mathematical language.
Thread 10/10:
And it even talked about creating an automated mathematician:) I think the workshop video's will be made available soon, if so do check it out at http://iclr.cc
End.
