If you are a current or aspiring creator, coach, or freelancer

This is for you

I'm going to show you how to charge more, sell more, and land more clients

// MEGA THREAD //
For those that don't know, Twitter is very easy to grow on compared to other platforms

- Emulate good tweets with your own perspective

- Reply to other accounts to get eyeballs on a small profile

- Make friends, give each other tips and grow together

- Pay for growth
- Have a clickable profile picture and a bio that tells people what you teach

In a nutshell, that's it - plus, this isn't a thread on Twitter growth

This is a thread on not falling into the trap that other Twitter/social media accounts are in
What is that trap?

- Only selling low ticket gumroad courses

- No unique positioning for your freelance/coaching services

- Crappy offers + no backend funnel

These aren't necessarily bad - you are just severely limiting your potential income
Now that we understand the trap, lets talk about avoiding it (or getting out of it)

// Marketing 101 - 202 //

There are 3 things you need here

1. Understand who you are selling to
2. Unique positioning
3. Offer creation
1. Who are you selling to?

What CAN you sell?

What skills/knowledge do you have?

What can you talk to your friends for hours about?

There are people on the internet that are 1 step behind you that you can help via digital products, coaching, or freelancing
Now

Rather than choosing the latest and greatest profitable niche

Find a niche that is already buying (most) and find a profitable problem in that niche

You will be using your knowledge/skills to craft a solution to that problem
Next step

Create a customer avatar - google a template for this and fill it out

Research that specific customer through:

- Amazon book reviews
- Niche FB groups
- Answer The Public (.com)
- Your Twitter audience (another reason to build one)
Pay specific attention to problems that people are having

2-4 star reviews on Amazon books that are similar to what you could sell

People asking questions in FB groups that could be solved by you

Ask questions to your Twitter audience and DM people to dig deeper
Also, look at what your competitors are selling and how you can make it better

You should now understand:

- Problems your audience are having
- Competitor products that are already selling
- A general idea of a product/service you can create (if you haven't already)
2. Unique positioning

(this is how you land more clients + charge more)

For me, this is comprised of 2-3 things

1. USP - unique selling proposition
2. Your unique method for results + QER

To add more firepower, research #3, the "big idea" in marketing
Your USP is what you do differently

What does your product/service have that others don't?

What leverage do you have from previous results, knowledge, or experience?

Do you deliver differently? (Ebook VS email course)

Celebrity endorsements can also fall under this.
Don't forget about your target audience here

A general format for writing out your USP is as follows:

I help X do Y without Z

or, I help X do Y by Z

X = target audience
Y = QER (we will talk about this soon)
Z = inconvenience that is solved by how you do things differently
Your Unique Method for Results

This kinda falls under "Do you deliver differently?"

No more: "I build high quality websites" or "I coach men on their mindset"

More: "I help plumbers get more leads with the Lead Multiplier"
Btw this is just off the top of my head - its not as good as it can be

On a scale of good, better, and best - this is "better"

The plumber wants more leads, a website is a poor solution for that
The lead multiplier is:

- Landing page with incentive to give email
- Email sequence to book a call/buy
- Upsell paid traffic to landing page on retainer

Now, for coaches...
"I coach men on their mindset"

VS

"My Modern Chad Program turns geeks into gods in 12 weeks"

Again, this falls under "better" on the scale above because we are missing one thing

We have our audience, USP, and compelling results method

The QER is whats missing
What is the QER?

Quantifiable End Result

What transformation are you helping them achieve?

Where are they now (point A) and where do you take them (point B)?

Point B has to be specific and quantifiable

I.E. "more leads" vs "10 qualified leads a week"
Whew, we are about halfway through this - but it should pay off

We've discussed some marketing concepts

We understand our audience

We have positioned ourselves better

Now, we need to create an offer around this

Your offer will help solidify everything above
3. Offer Creation (your product/service)

Your tweets/emails won’t sell if your offer sucks

A good offer delivers irresistible *value* for the price point - it should be a no brainer

What fits the strategy to perfection?

What can you create that actually gets them to the QER?
Here are the components of an irresistible offer:

1. Pricing

Your price should be less than the value they receive (see: ROI)

Rather than discounts for services, you should have payment plans or an offer stack in place

$5000 for full package
$2500 for half
$500 for micro
For products, use discounts sparingly and tactically

To increase the perceived value of the price, you can add bonuses to your *products*

For services: Bonuses can be used as negotiation when they object about the price
Example bonuses for a habits ebook:

- 10 step morning checklist
- Habit tracking worksheet/planner
- 30 day group challenge

Bonuses for landing page design:

- Second landing page for split tests
- Email sequence for reviews/testimonials
2. Risk Reversal

How can you create NEGATIVE risk with your offer?

This works like magic for landing first clients

I.E. "If I don't bring you 5 qualified leads this month I will give you your money back plus $100"

If you do well, they get 5 leads

If you don't they get $100
Create a win-win situation for your customers/clients

If you cannot think of anything yet, just start with a money back guarantee.

3. Special Mentions

- How you deliver the content/service
- Finding the right marketing angle
- Compelling offer name
OKAY, we have a good offer... now:

// FUNNELS 101-202 //

There are better options than just promoting your offers on a social media timeline

You have to take into account the customers awareness level of your product
Levels of awareness:

1. Unaware of you/your product + that they have a problem

2. Aware of problem but no the solution

3. Aware of problem and solution but not your solution

4. Aware of you and your solution

5. Well aware, just need a little push
Top of funnel content gets the most engagement and helps you grow here

But, don't be afraid to post for all awareness levels

Your job is to work potential customers up these awareness levels through your posts, but more effectively - your emails
Lead Magnet / Cheapwire

A lead magnet is a free guide/resource to get people to opt in to your email list

(Should target awareness levels 1-3)

A cheapwire is a $1-$5 mini-product that filters out the free loaders

Remember this - buyers buy more
This is what you promote the most on the timeline

Enter them into a welcome sequence to describe what you are about and to start introducing the problem they are experiencing

After, enter them into a sales sequence to:

- Introduce your offer
- Handle objections
- Build trust
Once they are at awareness level 5 (and haven't bought yet)

Throw in a little scarcity/urgency - maybe even a discount

Boom, you made a product sale on autopilot

What now?

Ascend.

Buyers buy more

Enter your buyers into a sequence for a more expensive offer
Let me backtrack a bit and talk about a value ladder

Lead magnet/cheapwire is the bottom of the ladder

They download

Low ticket ebook/course is next rung

They buy

Membership or more expensive offer is next rung

They buy

High ticket freelance/coaching offer is the last
If you want to take it even further (more money)

Learn about segmentation

You could build out a network of different sequences for people with different interests and sell affiliate products

Segment - new sequence - buys - segment - repeat forever if you want
Skills that will come in handy for funnels:

- Landing page design
- Offer creation (lead magnet, digital product, high ticket offer)
- Copywriting (landing page + email)
- Understanding of email software
- Sales

Shiny object syndrome is helpful in this scenario lol
This is the solution to the trap that most social media accounts have fallen into (especially on Twitter)

Considering you set this up once (and test) and let it run, its kinda a no brainer

This is ultimately what separates the high earners from the ebook peddlers
I'm not here to bash either side

I'm just here to inform the ones that want to earn more
