Thanks for the email, Rudolf. Since you are a defector from a police state, I don't think you need me to tell you that an #ab MLA being public about their vaccination is not the equivalent of a government using police and other paramilitaries to enforce the will of the state.

Regarding the poll. If 22% are influenced by their MLA's position that's a large & important number. Re: AB callers to the show. Most were from Calgary & Central #Alberta. But your notion that publicly encouraging people to get vaccinated is a left wing idea, seems a bit odd.

It seems the political polarizers and their social media allies have convinced some #Albertans that vaccines and masks are for people who are left wing. Many Republicans and their media allies have been promoting that dangerously disturbing idea in the U-S.

I'd like to believe I'm wrong about that, Rudolf. But you & others who have contacted me, make me think I'm not. Thank you for revealing your feelings. We must face the truth, no matter how much it distresses the majority of Albertans,

especially those who have lost family members to Covid and those in the hospital system who tried desperately to save them. This is not a police state, Rudolf. For millions of Cdns, this land is a sanctuary,that they or their ancestors arrived in, leaving authoritarianism behind.

If Canada was a police state, I would be forced to hand over your email to the authorities and you would be under investigation. That's not happening Rudolf, not in this wonderful country the Adlers arrived in, having been motivated to leave a police state behind, for 1 reason.

Based on the personality traits of their toddler, a very willful child, they feared I could wind up in a political prison or an early grave. Well I'm not in prison, Rudolf. I'm free as a bird, because my mum & dad brought me to their Promised Land, Canada.

Despite the essential goodness of Canada, some of our fellow Cdns spread big lies in small towns and large, endangering the lives of those who believe them, and in the case of Covid, even those who don't. Rudolf, I want you to know we will beat Covid, with you or without you.

It will happen faster with you. I want you vaccinated. It never matters to me that you disagree with everything I say or that you view my very existence as a nuisance. I don't have police state values, Rudolf. I have Cdn values. Your life means much more to me than your opinion.
