When Lorraine Partosa arrived, the families were oblivious. Hindi nila kilala sino siya. She approached them one-by-one, hugged them, cried after delivering her speech.
It was only after she blamed the NPA as reason why they were killed that the families realize who she is.

One family member of the slain IP leaders said na kung alam lang nila kung sino ang babaeng yun baka hindi nila napigilan sarili nila na kaladkarin pabalik ng bundok at gawin ang tradisyunal na “panambi” sa kanya.
