Intimidation tactics didn't help - almost all iOS 14.5 users disable app tracking entirely
The analyst firm Flurry has published interesting statistics: How many users have agreed to allow tracking by apps on iOS 14 ( https://www.apple.com/in/ios/ios-14/ )?
Note that in the last update to iOS ( https://www.apple.com/in/ios/ios-14/ )14.5, Apple ( https://digitech101.in/apple-watch-will-not-only-receive-a-glucometer-but-will-also-be-able-to-determine-the-content-of-alcohol-in-the-blood/)introduced new privacy settings that iPhone and iPad owners can use to prevent applications from collecting personally identifiable information ( https://digitech101.in/ios-14-5-ipados-14-5-macos-11-3-watchos-7-4-tvos-14-5-out-in-april-end/).
In addition, according to the new requirements, requests must be explicitly given permission to collect personal data.
Of course, not everyone liked the new requirements. For example, Facebook and Instagram developers used horror strategies pointing to the possible loss of free access to social media if users do not give permission to collect data.
However, this tactic didn't work. According to Flurry statistics, only 4% of users give permission to collect data in the US and 12% internationally.
