Ok hi I got a fic idea and I don't wanna write it on Discord like I usually do so here!! A fun lil' ramble thread!!

Ok so basically

This fic begins with the egg explosion, where Punz ignites the TNT next to him with a torch and then regrets it 5 seconds later when he can't outrun the TNT. Their communicator [not ender eye chain bc I have other hc for that] breaks and they get yoinked +

into the void first, where they float around for a bit and then get yoinked into the OriginSMP as a merling!

So basically a quick thing I thought of [might change l8tr] is that the versions of everyone we see in Origin are the same people as the ones in the DreamSMP]. +

Origin is used as a place for them to chill, to be happy, to ignore the chaos of what they've done in the DreamSMP. The catch for them is that they can't remember their relationships with people in the DreamSMP while in the OriginSMP. [Ex: Osmp! Niki and Osmp! Tommy being+

friends while Dsmp! Niki and Dsmp! Tommy don't really like each other all that much]

Punz is the one HUGE exception to this because he can remember EVERYTHING from the DreamSMP, including how he isn't exactly liked by a lot of members right now [with him both being involved +

with the eggpire, being Dream's right hand man, and just Wilbur in general]. So for a good chunk of the first few chapters we'd see Punz being unable to open up out of sheer fear. Their home would be an underwater cave [once they got over the initial shock of being a merperson +

and of not having people actively dislike/hate/avoid them], all their stuff would be hidden away [valuable or not], and they wouldn't leave the lake 9 times out of 10, even if they had access to the water tanks that Niki uses or if it rained. +

He only start to open up after an incident where he finally leaves the lake during a storm to go get a trident, and gets a trident... but also gets trapped in an ocean kinda far from where the OSMP folks live with no chance of getting back alone without calling for help. +

Of course, they're kinda scared of doing that, and Phil ends up just stumbling upon their ocean, finding them swimming around and freaking out a bit, and bringing them back. Phil and Punz basically just have a fucking chat after that about Punz's paranoia when it comes to +

interacting in a neutral/positive way with literally anyone on the SMP, and slowly but surely trying to assure him that he isn't going to get hurt in this server; even if they're all the same people, they don't want to hurt him. And uh yeah that's as far as I thought ahead

Random details woo!!!

- Punz and Phil bond l8tr in over a love of shiny stuff [bc birdza and fishie punz idk]

- Punz gets gifts from everyone when they first join in, they just don't use them until later because they're worried that these gifts will come with a price

[later meaning after the Punz and Philza talk]

- Punz originally builds his cave so that only he or Niki could get in, then only him [bc secret entrance pog], but when he slowly starts to open up he adds glass walls and an entrance from land so that people can come to visit
