racism in vogue a thread

in april 2008 vogue released a cover with LeBron James and Gisèle Bündchen. it was modeled after the picture on the left.

in 2009 they published this racist editorial. it shows a black woman as a maid taking care of a white womans baby.

in 2010 they released "slave earrings". they said "the most classic models are the slave and creole styles in gold hoops". the 2nd photo is what they were referring to.

in 2019 the director of vogue Brazil had a "slave party" to celebrate her 50th birthday.
