I'm starting a new pitch contest open to everyone. The hashtag is #FakePitch. Give me your best pitch for something you'll never actually write. I will personally Venmo the winner $1.19 for a taco from Taco Bell in honor of Taco Tuesday. Winner is whoever gets the most likes.
I'm going to do it every Tuesday. Not even joking.
Think of it as a no-pressure opportunity to hone your pitching skills. If you can learn to write a great pitch for something you'll never actually publish, how much better will your pitches for your real work become?
And it will be open to those with agents and those who have previously published, even bestsellers. Let's see how the pros do it.
Plus, I firmly believe everyone deserves a chance at a free taco.
And you don't have to follow me to be eligible to win. I'm not into that tacos-for-follows racket.
The superior hashtag #TacoPitch was proposed by @lindsaymaeve. Let's use that instead.

I'm making this up as I go. I appreciate your patience.
You can post as many fake pitches as you want each week, but unlike Taco Bell's ingredients, your pitches need to be fresh each week.
#TacoPitch
We need a #TacoPitch logo. Any illustrators who are willing to crank one out, please DM me so we can negotiate how many tacos it might cost me.
